Coffee Camera

        The strongest technical aspect of my work is getting the negative image to a positive image that has black, white and grey in it. This is my strongest aspect because you can see all the different shades. The aspect that can be improved is focusing the image. We can improve this by making sure the light from the enlarger is focused.
        Picking the image we wanted was the easiest aspect of this work. It was easy because the sun was to our backs and we got an image that would be easy to take a picture of. The difficult aspect of this project was getting the right amount of time for the light to get into the camera. This was difficult because the more light we let in, the darker the image got. But the less light we let in, the lighter the image was.
        I demonstrated the objective by creating a positive image from a negative image. If I could redo this project I would have done a test strip when converting the negative to a positive to find the correct amount of light exposure.

Dodging and Burning

        The strongest technical aspect of my work is the different values of color. You can see black, white and grey in the final picture. The aspect that can be improved is to make the white whiter. I can improve this by having paper cover the background of the picture to make it white.
        Choosing the picture was the easiest part of this activity. This was the easiest part because when I got the test strip done with the right amount of light, it was easy to choose the best one. Finding the correct amount of light and filter was the difficult part of this project. I had to keep increasing the time the paper was exposed to find the perfect amount of light. I also had to increase the filter to find which one worked best.
        I demonstrated the objective by dodging and burning the background of the image. If I could redo this project I would take pictures outside instead of inside.

Photograms

           The strongest technical aspect of my work is the variation of values. You can see black, white, and grays in all of the pictures. The aspect that could be improved is to have more of a variation of values in the symmetric photogram. I could do this by using more tissue paper.

          The easiest part of this activity was getting the different values. This was easy because to get black, I had to expose it to light, to get gray I had to layer something on top of the paper, like tissue paper, that the light could get through, and to get white I had to have a solid object, like a key or button, to have no light get thorough to the paper. The hardest part of this activity was for the magazine photogram was to get a magazine that the paper was thin enough for light to get through and show both sides of the magazine. 

          I demonstrated the objective of the symmetric photogram by having different values of grays, and making both sides symmetrical. I demonstrated the objective in the magazine photogram by getting the different values of grays and being able to see both sides of the magazine. I demonstrated the objective of the landscape photogram by having different values of gray and having it depict a landscape. If I could do these projects again, I would make the symmetrical photogram in symmetrical by having the "K" on the right be flipped so the image would be more symmetrical. I would also be more careful when I am developing the image. 

Polaroid

     The strongest technical aspect of my work is the microphone breaking the plane. This is the strongest aspect because it makes it look more alive than a bunch of pictures. The aspect that can be improved is the background because it represents her, but I feel that there could be something different. 

     The easiest part of this assignment was placing the polaroids around the picture, and deciding what was going to break the plane. The difficult part was trying to decide what polaroid was above and what polaroid was below each other. 

     I demonstrated the objective by having something in the image break the plane, and changing the background to something that represented her. If I could do this project again, I would have chosen a different background.

Freckled Face

The strongest technical aspect of my work is the changing from one face to the other face. The technical aspect of my work that can be improved is matching the skin color better to get rid of the freckles.

The easiest part of this activity was fixing the face after all the freckles were gone. The most difficult aspect of this activity was getting rid of all the freckles on their face.

I demonstrated the objective of this assignment by removing the freckles and editing the face. If I could redo this activity, I would choose a girl picture that I would be able to add more makeup to.

Rock Sculpture

     The strongest technical aspect of my work is the way the rock stands out from the background. This is because I used the color history brush, but the colors were too similar to the background, so I had to use the dodge brush to lighten it. The aspect that I could improve on is having the focal point stand out a little better, because the colors are still similar but you can tell that the rock is the focal point. 

     The easiest part of this activity was changing the image to be desaturated and then color it back to its original colors. The difficult part of this activity was trying not to have the colors from the background appear near the focal point. 

     I demonstrated the objective of this activity by having a focal point, and having everything else in the image black and white, or desaturated. If I could do this activity again, I would choose another image, one that has a more colorful and interesting focal point. 

Bricks

     The strongest technical aspect of my work are the colors I used to create a pattern on the bricks because the colors make the individual bricks stand out more than they did in the original image. The technical aspect I can work on is the blending of the colors as they get farther away in the image. To fix it I could look at the original image and try to figure out when the bricks end. 

     Painting the bricks that were closer was the easy part about this art activity. That is because I could see where on brick ends and another one starts. The The difficult part of this activity was painting the bricks that were farther away in the image. That is because as the bricks get smaller, they get more blended together and harder to see. 

     I demonstrated the objective in this art activity by having layers, and using different filters of the paint brushes. If I could do this activity again, I would choose a different image and colors.
